With Daylight Savings Time being extended a month in 2007, Windows Mobile users are going to need a patch to correct possible errors in their Treos (the Treo 700w, Treo 700wx and Treo 750 are all affected by this). Our friends at Treobits dug this helpful bit up:
Because of the Energy Policy Act, daylight saving time is extended by four weeks in 2007. so instead of modifying registry by yourself to ensure proper time change, you can fetch it also as a patch - in CAB file! Author of this patch writes:
Daylight Saving Time changes this year on March 11 2007. Microsoft released a fix here, but they are expecting the carriers to package and distribute it. Since Cingular and the others are behind the curve, I packaged their fix into a CAB file and posted it on my blog HERE.
This should make it easier to keep your Treo smartphone updated and on time.
