The information has been coming in droves about the Treo 750 handheld smartphone. Over the weekend multiple sources released new news, rumors and pics of the Treo 750, now known as the Treo 750v (and previously as the Treo Lennon). As always, our Rumors Rundown keeps you on top of the latest!
First let's start with pics. PDAExpertOS Released a series of very nice pictures of the Treo 750v, most notably of it's svelte dimensions. It looks by the pictures to be possibly even smaller than the current generation of Treos! Also, Tatsdiy.com released some wonderful, high-res images of the Treo 750, including one that shows what appears to be a slide-out tray/cover for the SD card in the Treo.
As far as the latest information goes, msmobiles is reporting that the official name for the Treo 750 that is debuting September 12 for Vodafone is indeed the Treo 750v. Sources agree on the 312 MHz processor, Windows Mobile 5, a 240 x 240 touchscreen, and the full range of GSM, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA, and Bluetooth support. The only point of disagreement is still whether or not there will be built in Wi-Fi support.
Personally, I think even if the Vodafone model does not have built in Wi-Fi, it may be included in the US model, as the designation 750v could very well stand for the 750 Vodafone edition, with Wi-Fi being disabled at their request. Of course, it doesn't give me hope for a higher resolution screen having all sources agree on 240x240.
